While the title is a bit of a misnomer, Mark’s post and coinciding video presentation does offer easy-to-implement strategies on how to market with very little content

As most heads of marketing and content marketing strategist realize, “heavy” content marketing resources like articles, blogs, newsletters, White Papers and Case Studies– while excellent at optimizing to create search engine results and sales leads– can be a very involved and time-consuming process.

Recognizing that those types of communication devices are still exceptionally valuable to the overall marketing plan, Mark shares easy “Micro-Content” strategies that businesses and though leaders can put into action today–and do so in as little as 15 minutes a day.

These Micro-Content strategies include:

1. Creating a firm idea of your strategy, selling points and target audience

2. Engaging and interacting with LinkedIn in a meaningful way through:

  • Forums
  • Q & A commentary
  • Having a completed and informative profile
  • Use of Keywords
  • Making Connections

3. Twitter

  • Creating a Micro-Content Regimen
  • Use of Keywords

4. Social media commenting

Even if you’re an advanced marketer, you’ll find lots of nuggets in this blog post.

I especially like Mark’s tip “There’s no substitute for persistence. To be effective on the social web you need to show up, and that means spending, at least a little time out there, every day.”
